I love the layout and the services provided. I can also make use of the after spa drinks and ice creams. The property also had great view of the snowy landscape for my breakfast

The hotel and location were beautiful as expected. The room was much bigger than expected, and the additional shuttle service in the morning was extremely helpful and on time. Staff were very kind and patient with my unnatural Japanese. I hope to come again.

The property is fantastic. Beautifully designed, totally comfortable rooms with tatami floors, clean, offers you a Japanese traditional experience with all the modern up to date features for a pleasant stay, and a totally helpful and respectful staff. Our window room was facing the Shirakawa river, which was amazing. It provided two bedrooms which were perfectly arranged with a living room, desk and tv, offering tea, coffee and Japanese snacks. The best value for the most beautiful property we stayed in Japan.

We did not have dinner reservations and we had to run to the nearby eatery.

Wonderful location with a great onsen

The shuttles were often full or not running and the walk from the bus station is a little over 2 kilometers

Clean and very well managed onsen resort. Guest checkin and access internal of the hotel which is all tatami from lobby onwards. Clean and very transitional feel.

We liked everything! From the removing shoes on the front door and changing clothes and kimono! The food was amazing and the way how was served.

I bit far from the village but was nice walking .Will be more complicated if you have a language

This was a great introduction to a ryokan experience. While it’s part of a chain, it still felt authentic. Very spacious rooms, impeccable cleanliness. The onsen is one of the best we’ve experienced, with a view of ghe mountains. The food was so generous, prepared with the highest level of attention to sourcing local ingredients, respecting seasonal produce, and balancing flavors. This was a really lovely stay.

Very close to gassho house village, free parking. Indoor and outdoor onsen, with option for private onsen. Dinner and breakfast were amazing and delicious.

Limited hours for coffee stand

Experiencing a Ryokan was amazing and Onyado Yuinosho is the perfect place for it, the staff is incredibly nice and accomodating, the food is incredible, the rooms and facilities are so fancy and pretty and atmosphere is so relaxed and cozy! They give you all sorts of amenities, they have free ramen at night, coffee, yogurt drinks and they even leave local candy to try inside the room! They also have vending machines for soft drinks/coffee/tea and alcohol! The meals they serve are extremely tasty and fancy with beautiful window views of the mountains! The private onsen rooms are beatiful and relaxing! The two nights we spent there were the highlight of our trip! Absolutely must recommend this place if you plan to visit Shirakawa-go!

Onsen was wonderful. Kaiseki meals were superb! Staff were very friendly during dinner and breakfast.

Assigned breakfast time was inefficient. They did not take into consideration that some guests had to leave early for the bus schedule. We were given a 9:00 am breakfast time when our bus was leaving by 9:30/ 10:00 am. Fortunately, the morning staff were able to make accommodations and we were able to have breakfast at 7:45 am. Other guests had to make a similar plea.

Opulent and overlooking the river and mountains beyond. Some new and interesting tastes that were delicious. No need to eat lunch after breakfast!

it’s typical Japanese style, quite spacious and very clean. I loved about the Japanese onsen.

The Onsen was wonderful and the rooms were spacious and comfortable.the staff were so helpful. I left some clothes in the closet and they offered to send them to us at our next hotel. They really went above and beyond

The bath was wonderful. It had two outdoor baths, a sauna, a cold plunge, and an indoor bath. The food was also very nice and the staff were very kind. The room was beautiful and overall the service was great. They even provided an after-hours light meal for guests.

Unfortunately they aren't able to adjust the meals to accommodate vegetarian/vegan diets.

The hotel is OK but the staff are not nice to say the least, and it is super far from the bus station so if you are not coming with a car this is not the place for you

The staff were not nice, location was far from main attractions and services at the hotel were not up to standard in my opinion

The place was incredible! Big rooms, amazing facilities and wonderful staff! The onsens were great as well!
